LA CROSSE – Just over one-third of Wisconsin businesses are planning to raise wages by more than four percent in 2022. That’s according to a new survey from Wisconsin Manufacturers and Commerce.
“It is good news for workers right now because the likelihood is that you’re going to see a pretty significant raise in 2022,” said Nick Novak, the WMC’s communications and marketing vice president. “The unfortunate side of it is that companies are doing this because there is an entire lack of workers.”
Nearly 90% of companies surveyed say they are having trouble hiring employees.
